My photo

I'm most recently a writer.  In the six plus decades of my life, I've been a wife, mother, grandmother, Jill of all trades though mistress of but a few, and most of the time pretty content with my lot.  As a much younger person, I believed I was called to write, but life and living distracted me for most of those decades.  An unwilling transplant from the South,  twenty years ago I unintentionally landed in the geographical center of the US.  Writing came about in part due to the unwillingness, I expect.  When caring for family, gardening, and renovating a century-old house failed to provide sufficient creative outlets, I turned to the one thing I always intended to do.  Eight titles later, I'm grateful I found myself while Lost in the Plains!

Frankly, My Favorite (and FREE!)

Back in April, I wrote a post about the third book in the Miracle a Valley Rise series, entitled
Heart of My Own Heart

Frankly My Favorite.  No one should admit to favorites among their children, but I guess when it comes to books, we can get away with it.  And I admit, this one, Heart of My Own Heart, is my favorite.  Not because I think it's any better written or contains anything more profound than the others.  Just because I like it best.  I like the arrival of new characters, the changing locations, and most of all the leaps and bounds by which Stani Moss, the hero--if he'd even allow me to call him that--grows in the one very eventful year the story covers.

Since this is the first Book Birthday of the series, there have to be presents, right?  So I decided to give away my favorite, the book I most enjoyed writing, the book I most frequently revisit, just for fun.  (Yes, writers do read their own books, or at least this one does!)

For three days, October 12 through 14, please help yourself to a copy of Heart of My Own Heart absolutely FREE from me to your Kindle.  Just click on the link (right below the cover) and download.  Even if you haven't read the first two books in the series, I think you'll  enjoy this one on its own.

Oh, and by the way, all this month, Book One, Hearts Unfold, is on sale for just $.99! Why not treat yourself?
