My Team

For any of you Indy authors out there in search of help with proofreading your manuscripts or looking for a cover designer, I thought I'd post here some information about my own "team."

My husband John Welch has over twenty-five years as a proofreader/editor for a legal publishing company.  His fees are reasonable, .0025 per word, and his turnaround time averages less than two weeks for the typical manuscript.  I might add that not only does he correct the usual spelling and punctuation errors, but he's a real stickler for grammatical issues as well.  He uses tracking changes on a regular Word Document, so you can accept or reject any of his recommendations.

My covers and other promotional images are designed by my son, Chris Ferris.  He uses a combination of royalty-free stock images purchased by the author, which he then modifies to meet their specifications via Photoshop.
